Brann & Isaacson offers its lawyers challenging work, sterling clients, and a small firm setting, set against the backdrop of the beautiful State of Maine. In other words, we offer our attorneys the best of both worlds—a sophisticated national practice often found at much larger law firms within the confines of an intimate and familiar working environment that is the hallmark of smaller firms. Our attorneys litigate in state and federal courts from coast–to–coast, participate in administrative and regulatory proceedings, manage international intellectual property portfolios, handle commercial negotiations and employment issues for companies of various structures and sizes, provide comprehensive and sophisticated estate and wealth preservation counsel to individuals and multi-generational families, and advise municipalities and school districts on controversial issues that lie at the intersection of law and public policy.

We have 2 openings. Both are hybrid positions based in Maine, with the ability to work from home (in Maine) several days a week.

We are seeking an associate to join the tax team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years experience as a lawyer. State tax experience is not a requirement, but a strong interest in tax is! We’d love to see someone with litigation, administrative law, regulatory compliance, or other code-based regulatory enforcement experience.

We are also looking for a paralegal to join the team. With a growing number of states auditing companies, we want to deepen our bench to better serve our clients. Candidate should have familiarity with financial reports, workpapers, and ideally sales/use and income tax returns.

Help me put the word out!

If you know of anyone who may be interested, send them my way.
